Sao Sebastiao do Paraiso, Brazil - The United States scored their second win of the FIBA Americas U18 Championship by defeating the team from Mexico by a score of 110-59. From the start the superiority of the U.S. team was clear with a huge rotation that allowed them to defend and maintain their full-court transition game at full force. All team players scored in the match. Mexico, meanwhile, continued to play hard but it was not enough against a team that dominated U.S. all aspects of play. The quarters finished 32-12, 26-14, 27-17, and 25-16, respectively, all in favor of Americans. The best scorer of the match was USA’s John Layman with 18 points, while for Mexico the best was Jesse Arias, who scored 13 points.
